History
The former sailingvessel Hoop op Behoud was launched in 1897 in Alphen aan de Rijn. As a sailing cargovessel the ship mostly transports sand and clay. In the beginning of the 20th century it is equiped with an engine and remains a freighter up until the sixties. After a period of serving as a houseboat, she was converted to her present state as a passengership in 1993.
